"Rural complex" is a new path of rural revitalization proposed by the central government in recent years. Based on the field investigation， this paper analyzes the practice logic and influence of grass⁃roots in rural complex construction. Specifically， through the revitalization of land resources， "three⁃in two⁃belt one⁃out" mode， ritual performance and spatial diversification， the rural complex construction has achieved the positive effects of increasing agricultural added value， agricultural multi⁃function and village restructure， but it also cause the exclusion of smallholders， the loss of public nature of rural governance and the damage of collective interests. From the perspective of "subject reconstruction"， this paper proposes the construction of national guidance mechanism，multi⁃party supervision mechanism，benefit⁃sharing mechanism， and long⁃term warning mechanism to promote the rural revitalization to a new level.
