Research on innovation path of resource⁃poor villages from the perspective of bricolage—— a case study of four different types of villages
Resource endowment is the cornerstone of rural revitalization, while resource poverty is the actual situation faced by most villages. The way of innovative development in the resource shortage area is not clear yet. The resource bricolage theory analyzes how organizations make use of resources at hand to realize innovation under resource disadvantage, providing a new idea for the resource-constrained villages. Through the case study method, this paper considers the innovation approach of four different types of villages from three bricolage dimensions including bricolage list, bricolage process, and bricolage result. The study finds out that using idle resources in the rural areas can achieve differentiated innovation results through different bricolage logic. The utilization of resources at hand can make the originally neglected resources in the countryside produce value and realize the innovative result of "the use of useless ". Creative development can re-integrate resources and realize the innovative result of "create something from nothing". The paper also proposes some innovation strategies and suggestions for the countryside with the resource disadvantage.
