Analysis of agricultural cooperation between China and Zimbabwe in the Post Mugabe Era: based on the PEST perspective
Zimbabwe is rich in agricultural resources. China and Zimbabwe hold great potential for cooperation in agricultural sector. However, in recent years, Zimbabwe's economic development has encountered great difficulties and led to agricultural recession. Based on the PEST perspective, the research on China-Zimbabwe agricultural cooperation in the post-Mugabe era shows that Zimbabwe is facing practical difficulties such as unstable political environment, serious inflation, chaotic social order, poor sanitation, and technical shortages. It is suggested to promote the agricultural cooperation between China and Zimbabwe through the following ways: under controllable risks, encourage private capital to invest in agriculture in Zimbabwe; deepen existing cooperation, continue to extend the industrial chain, and further increase the added value of products; develop agricultural machinery and cultivate fine seeds which meet the needs of the Zimbabweans; and actively take measures to prevent and control risks.
