Rural revitalization and common prosperity under the era of urban-rural China—dialogue of theory of collective action and case analysis of Yuan Jia Village
Under the era of urban and rural China, the discussion of rural revitalization and common prosperity must have a vision of urban and rural interaction. Long-term de-organization makes the countryside unable to grasp the opportunities brought by the free flow of urban and rural production factors, instead accelerating the outflow of various factors of production in the countryside. Reorganization is an important prerequisite for achieving full rural development, promoting rural creation of new supply, meeting new urban demand, and promoting the rebalancing of urban and rural development. Based on the collective action theory of rational choice and structuralism, this paper puts forward the two major issues of "whether it is necessary" and "how it is possible" to re-organize villages in the urban and rural China. Based on the case of Yuanjiacun, this paper makes enrichment and improvement on the localization of farmers' cooperative system and self-organization theory with Chinese characteristics. This paper argues that the unbalanced external structure of urban and rural development and the new opportunity of rural China's transition to urban and rural China provide the necessity for the re-organization of villages. Village structural factors and individual actors interweave and interact, which provides the possibility for village reorganization. The idea and practice of "Central personage — Key Group —Subsequent Participants" on creating new rural supply have contributed to the integration of urban and rural supply and demand and orderly interaction. The homogenized small farmers "relying on the soil for a living" in rural China era is characterized by heterogenization in the era of China's urban and rural areas, and can form the new collective action structure which is different from the general farmer cooperatives assumed homogenization. To use and upgrade the vernacular Chinese social structure can drive the formation of the new village social structure based on the integration of market rules and local culture in urban and rural China times. The constant interweaving and interaction between heterogeneous individual actors and village social structure can promote the continuous iteration and upgrading of village reorganization, facilitate the matching of supply and demand in urban and rural China era, and realize the rebalancing of urban and rural development, and accelerate the realization of common prosperity.
