Reviewing the course of running the Journal of Shanxi Agricultural University Science （Social Science Edition）（hereinafter referred to as “Journal of Social Science”） from 2002 to 2021 of the Journal， through such measures as editing by scholars， running the journal with characteristics， digital transformation and social services， the quality and influence of the Journal will be improved in an all-round way. In the future， the Journal will enhance its academic leadership through building an academic community； promote the development of a digital platform and enhance its publishing service capacity； and promote the integration of new and old media and mass communication. We will comprehensively improve the capacity of knowledge services and support the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy in the form of academic publications.
