Integration of regional characteristics and modern elements: study on the construction paths of livable, business⁃friendly and harmonious villages in light of local conditions
The construction of livable, business-friendly, and harmonious villages is the core of the rural revitalization strategy, and the key to narrowing the urban-rural gap and achieving the modernization of agriculture and rural areas. While remarkable achievements have been made in China's rural construction, there are still problems, such as unbalanced urban-rural development, weakened regional characteristics, and the phenomenon of "all villages looking the same". Based on policy requirements and practical needs, this paper takes the integration of regional characteristics and modern elements as its core research perspective. It systematically sorts out the connotations, components, values, and functions of both, conducts an in-depth analysis of the inherent theoretical logic and identifies existing problems and their underlying causes in the integration including imbalanced integration logic, an imperfect planning system, insufficient industrial integration, and inadequate factor support. On this basis, the paper constructs a six-in-one integration path encompassing planning guidance, industrial core, ecological foundation, cultural empowerment, governance guarantee, and infrastructure support. It proposes that deep coupling between regional characteristics and modern elements can be achieved through multi-dimensional coordinated efforts, such as global planning, industrial integration, ecological integration, cultural integration, governance integration, and the integration of infrastructure and services, thereby effectively promoting the construction of livable, business-friendly and beautiful villages.
