Research on the relational logic of the differentiation of youth entrepreneurship types within rural leading industries
Youth entrepreneurship within rural leading industries constitutes a vital component of industrial revitalization. Among these entrepreneurial activities, widespread imitative entrepreneurship and its underlying relational logic significantly influence industrial prospects, yet remain insufficiently understood. Through an in⁃depth analysis of the causes, pathways, and outcomes of youth imitative entrepreneurship in the brush⁃making industry of Yuzhao Town, known as the “Capital of Brush Manufacturing in China,” this study identifies three primary types of youth imitative entrepreneurship within rural leading industries: result⁃oriented result imitation entrepreneurship, frequency⁃oriented frequency⁃imitation entrepreneurship, and characteristic⁃oriented characteristic imitation entrepreneurship. The triggers and operation of these types are profoundly influenced by the functional guidance of the young entrepreneurs' differentiated social relations: the exclusivity of blood ties, the repetitiveness of geographical relationships, and the integration of professional relationships. These mechanisms respectively ensure that rural youth imitation entrepreneurship in rural areas gains credible support for outcome validation, legitimacy support for high⁃frequency practice, and feasibility support for core models, ultimately facilitating entrepreneurial success. The diverse social relationships embedded within rural leading industries enhance the success rate of youth imitation entrepreneurship in a differentiated manner, invigorate the youth⁃driven momentum for rural industrial revitalization, and consequently foster localized innovation within rural industries.
